Suffolk Plays ECAC New England Series at WPI

Suffolk earned the No. 1 seed in the Eastern College Athletic Conference New England Baseball Championship for 2007. The Rams will play second-seed Worcester Polytechnic Institute in a three-game series beginning Thursday, May 17.

WPI will host all three games at the Alumni field on campus. Two nine inning games are scheduled for Thursday beginning at 12 noon with the third game on Friday at 11 a.m. if necessary. WPI has a 22-16 overall record.

Suffolk ended its regular season Monday, May 14 at Wheaton. Suffolk is currently 23-14 overall and was the 2007 GNAC runnerup. The Rams last played in the ECAC tournament in 2003 and won the ECAC New England title in 2000. Suffolk has competed in the ECAC post season tournament seven times since 1994.
