AUTM, a nationally renowned nonprofit, supports and advances technology transfer worldwide. The AUTM community is comprised of more than 3,000 members who work in more than 800 universities, research centers, hospitals, businesses and government organizations around the globe.

The MSLL provides graduates with cross-functional legal, business, and scientific training, with courses in Suffolk’s Law School, Sawyer Business School and College of Arts & Sciences. Courses include:

  • Biotechnology business
  • Genetics
  • Data Security
  • Intellectual property law
  • Regulatory compliance law
  • Clinical research
  • Molecular biology

Such interdisciplinary training plays a valuable role in preparing professionals or recent graduates for positions in licensing and intellectual property management, among other biotech and pharma positions, and helps them advance their careers in this flourishing industry.

The MSLL will benefit those who plan to transition into the growing field; professionals already working in the life sciences sector who want to expand their expertise; or lawyers who require specialized knowledge in the life sciences industry.

In addition to Professor Landers, the panel includes Leslie Oster, JD, the Director of the Master of Science in Law Program at Northwestern University Law School and Mickie A. Piatt, JD, the Co-Director of IP Management and Markets at Chicago-Kent College of Law, IIT. The panelists will discuss the value of their respective programs and illustrate how students are learning real-world applications.

The webinar is open to all and should be particularly interesting for hiring managers, STEM professionals, and recent graduates looking to enter licensing and intellectual property management.
