The Rams baseball team swept a Great Northeast Athletic Conference doubleheader, defeating the Lasell College Lasers twice on a chilly Wednesday afternoon at Adams Field in Quincy.

Meanwhile, the softball team swept a GNAC doubleheader with the Emmanuel College Saints on a rainy Tuesday evening.

Senior Andrew Babb hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth in game one, while pitchers Mitch Monke and Alex Torres combined to allow one earned run in 16 innings against the Lasers.

Monke fanned eight Lasers hitters while only walking one for his first complete game of the season, a 2-1 win for the Rams.

In game two the Rams were able to jump out to a quick 3-0 lead. Babb started game two right where he left off, hitting an RBI single before coming around to score as Mark Annese hit a double to deep left. Freshman Michael Muse then capped the inning with a single to left field. The Rams won 6-0, and now stand 17-13 overall, 9-3 in GNAC play.

Sophomore Lauren Barrett led the Rams in to a 9-2 victory in game one, going 2-for-2 with a pair of runs scored and a pair of RBI. Samantha McGilvray was on the mound for Suffolk.

Junior Liz Galvin pitched a complete-game three-hitter in the nightcap. The 11-1 win was Galvin's third of the season on the mound for Suffolk, which now stands at 8-22 overall, 3-11 in GNAC competition.
