The baseball team captured the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) regular-season title, sweeping Rivier College in a double-header Wednesday afternoon to finish with a 13-1 mark in conference play.

The Rams offense exploded once again, topping the Raiders, 10-3 in game one before an 18-run burst in game two as the Rams picked up a shutout in the nightcap.

Suffolk scored 57 runs in a span of 24 hours in back-to-back double-headers to round out the regular season and claim the top-seed in the conference tournament. The Rams collected 33 hits in the two games combined.

The GNAC Tournament will open up April 27 as the top six teams in the league make the playoffs. With the number one seed, the Rams will receive a bye and host the quarterfinal matchup on Thursday.
