The Suffolk University Men's Basketball team dropped its non-conference meeting to visiting Southern Vermont College 88-64 Thursday night at Suffolk's Regan Gymnasium.

Southern Vermont's Nick Harrington led all scorers in the game with 26 points and added eight rebounds. Harrington was an impressive 10-11 from the field. Julian Smith dropped in 16 points of his own. Freshman point guard Albrey Kirkland chipped in with a double-double as he scored 12 points and dished out 11 assists.

Suffolk University received solid efforts from Brian Small (Stoughton, MA) and freshman guard Mike Lindberg (Attleboro, MA) as they both scored 13 points to lead the Rams. Chris MacDonald (Brewster, MA) also reached double figures with 11 points on 5-10 shooting.

It was a tough night for the Rams as they found themselves facing a 43-27 deficit to begin the second half and a twenty-point deficit with 16:17 remaining in the game.

The Rams were able to cut the Southern Vermont lead to 58-47 with 11:37 remaining thanks to a 14-5 run. However, that was as close as Suffolk came as Southern Vermont went on to lead by as much as 25 in the second half.

Suffolk University dropped to 3-8 overall with the loss.
