Starting this month, it is easier than ever for employees, students, and visitors to recycle at Suffolk University. By expanding single stream recycling to all owned buildings, participating in the recycling program no longer requires sorting recyclables. Papers, cardboard, and empty glass, metal, and plastic can go in any recycling bin on campus. Participants are urged to recycle only empty items to help keep things neat.
The University expects to see an increase in recycling rate as a result of the change, based on pilot programs with single stream recycling and a pre-existing single stream program in the residence halls and 73 Tremont.
