Mr. Gautam Mahajan, a leading expert in globalisation and Total Customer Value Management and an eminent consultant in corporate transformation and restructuring, has taken over as the National President of Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC), the only bi-national chamber in India exclusively focused on the Indo-US economic engagement. He was elected President of the forty-two year old chamber, having a strong pan-India presence and an expanding membership base, at the conclusion of the 41st Annual Session of the Chamber held on September 27, 2010 in Mumbai.

“It is a happy coincidence that I am becoming the President of this august body at a time when the Indo-US relationship is entering a new trajectory of growth and consolidation riding on the back of a proactive policy framework that underscores mutual cooperation between the two largest democracies in the world in the post slowdown scenario,” Mr. Mahajan observed, adding that “IACC will continue with its proactive involvement by catalyzing not only the economic engagement but also in bringing together legal, academic and journalistic fraternities from both countries under a common platform.” IACC will be unveiling a plan of action for achieving these objectives so as to ensure the engagement goes much beyond business, he added.

An alumnus of prestigious academic institutions like Suffolk University-Sawyer School of Business (EMBA 1977-79), Illinois Institute of Technology (1968-70) and IIT Madras (1963-68). Mr. Mahajan is consultant to several MNCs and large Indian corporations. Deeply involved in permeating management culture across the Indian corporate landscape, he has authored books on Customer Value Management. He studied, lived and worked in the US for about 20 years. He has a long exposure in the US corporate world and can play a pivotal role in strengthening the handholding of corporations in India and the US, particularly mid size and small enterprises under the banner of Indo-US SME Forum, which he had initiated in the IACC, couple of years back

At the conclusion of the Annual Session, Mr. S.K Mitra, Chairman & Director of Agile Financial Advisors Pvt. Ltd, Mumbai has taken over as the First Executive Vice President and Mr. Shourya Mandal, Partner, Fox Mandal, Kolkata was elected as the Second Vice President.
