On Thursday, September 30, Information Technology Services will conduct a test of the Microsoft Exchange Server Upgrade. The test will begin at 4am, and will be completed before 7am. This notice will remain available on the Suffolk University Web site, under Information Technology Services News.

During the test, no messages or information will be lost. Users of Umail (http://umail.suffolk.edu) may see the new user interface for Outlook Web Access There may also be brief periods when you will be unable to access your email.

Following the test, all Suffolk University email will return to its previous settings. Users of Outlook (PC), Entourage (Mac) and Umail will not be affected, but some mobile phone users may need to reset their phones as follows:


This applies only to Blackberry phones not issued by Suffolk University.
If you cannot access your email, select Setup, then Email Settings.
Follow the prompts to validate or authenticate your account. When asked, enter your password.


Not all iPhone users may be affected.
If you cannot access your Suffolk email, restart your phone. Service may be restored. If not, follow these instructions:
Select the Settings icon on your home page.
Select Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Under Accounts, select your Suffolk.edu account.
Select Delete Account. Your suffolk.edu account will be deleted. Nothing will be lost.
Restore your Suffolk.edu account using the instructions on the University Web site under Information Services, Email for Faculty and Staff, at http://www.suffolk.edu/offices/42518.html.
