Suffolk senior guard John Murphy (N. Reading, MA) competed in the Division III New England Basketball Coaches Association Senior All-Star game Sunday, April 22 at the Staake Gymnasium on the campus of Babson College. Murphy scored 12 points, hitting four of six three-point shots during the game. He added two assists and one block in a 104-95 losing effort.

Suffolk head coach Adam Nelson coached the home team with Babson's Mike Smiley.

Proceeds from the game benefitted the Coaches Vs. Cancer campaign. The game also featured WPI's Ryan Cain, the Josten's National Player of the Year and two players from the 2006-07 Division III National Champion Amherst College, Dan Wheeler and Tim McLaughlin.

In addition to the all star game there was a free clinic at 3:30 run by several of the games participants and area coaches along with raffles that include Boston Celtics memorabilia and a chance to take a shot for $50,000.
