Suffolk dropped a non-conference game, 3-2, against Divison II opponent St. Michael's VT Saturday at Adams Field in Quincy, MA.

St. Michaels broke a 2-2 tie in the top of the 8th when Sean Naughton drew a bases-loaded walk with two outs. Jake Bruce relieved Suffolk starter Joe Roberto and came in with a 2-0 count on Naughton. Bruce threw two balls forcing in Kyle Gingras as St Michaels took a 3-2 lead

Senior Billy Gamache went the distance for St. Michael's, scattering six hits and allowing two runs while walking three and striking out nine Rams hitters. It was his second win of the season. Tim Pilczak went 4 for 4, with four singles and one RBI for the Purple Knights. Sean Naughton had the other two RBIs, one on the walk and he also knocked in the first run with a single in the second inning.

Suffolk designated hitter Marc Exarhopoulos doubled in the first inning to drive in Nick Martinho who had reached on a walk. Tom Kelly tripled and then scored in the fifth inning.

The win moves the Purple Knights to 10-17 overall, while Suffolk falls to 18-9.
