Psychology Professor Susan M. Orsillo and co-author Lizabeth Roemer of the University of Massachusetts-Boston have published Worry Less, Live More: The Mindful Way through Anxiety Workbook.
The new book is a follow-up to The Mindful Way through Anxiety, a book that explains mindfulness techniques in detail. Their initial book has sold more than 46,000 copies and has been or is in the process of being translated into eight languages, according to Orsillo.
The new workbook provides a blueprint for moving through painful emotions without being ruled by them. Stories of people who have struggled with anxiety are accompanied by meditation and acceptance practices and step-by-step exercises that build self-knowledge and self-compassion.
The workbook offers deeper understanding of what the user really values so that he or she can break free of the common traps that leave people feeling stuck.
