Lindsay Miarmi, a graduate student in the Psychology Department, won the Nelson Butters Award for outstanding scholarship and best poster at the Massachusetts Neuropsychological Society Annual Science Symposium in June.

Miarmi's poster, co-authored with her adviser, Professor Elisabeth Moes, was entitled "Awareness of the Environment: Cross-Modal Inattentional Blindness."

Other students making presentations at the symposium were Kathryn Lombardi, Rebecca Adams, Britt Carlson-Emerton, and Nicole McLaughlin. Psychology Department faculty members Edith Kaplan and Helen Kenney also attended.
