Alexis Hackett, a freshman forward on the Suffolk women’s basketball team, has been recognized as the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Corvias Rookie of the Week for the sixth time.
With her latest accolade, Hackett is the most decorated Rams’ student-athlete in recent history. She also has twice been named New England Women’s Basketball Association Rookie of the Week.
Hackett’s honor elevates the Rams’ weekly GNAC award total to eight during nine weeks of play thus far during the 2016-17 season, the most in the GNAC. Teammate Katelyn Rourke has been recognized as Rookie of the Week on two occasions.
Hackett averaged 7.5 points and 4.0 rebounds per game for the Rams during a week that saw the team win one out of two games.
