Master of Education in Administration of Higher Education

As of March 2021, the MEd program is no longer recruiting new students and is no longer accepting applications.

In Suffolk University's Master of Education in Administration of Higher Education (MEd) program, you can enrich your core curriculum with a wide range of elective courses, matching your education to your potential career path and specific administrative focus.

Combined with core and elective coursework, you’ll complete a theory-to-practice practicum experience. By working closely with faculty advisors, you’ll select a field setting and gain practical, hands-on work experience under the guidance of a master's level or higher site supervisor. In addition to the practicum experience, Suffolk University offers fellowship opportunities in administrative, academic, or student support offices focused on your area of interest. You’ll graduate from the program equipped with broad-based knowledge of administrative, leadership, and management practices and structures found in institutions of higher education.

This program is designed to prepare you for a successful career in an array of higher education fields, including academic advising, admissions, alumni affairs, development, college unions, athletics, career planning and placement, residence life, orientation, student activities, financial aid, international student services, multicultural affairs, registrar offices, and a host of other professional positions at colleges, universities, and other higher education-related agencies and organizations.
