Message about Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

To Our Inclusive Community,

Suffolk University Law School values an inclusive community and supports diversity among our students, faculty, and staff. We believe that our community is enriched by people of different backgrounds and cultures, and we are committed to building a culture of equitable collaboration among diverse groups.

At Suffolk Law, we appreciate and celebrate differences –recognizing our community’s success is greater when we appreciate diverse perspectives, values, identities, and lived experiences. In recognizing this fundamental principle, the Law School continues to create access and opportunities for all voices to be valued and respected. This commitment is realized through various efforts throughout the Law School including our cultural affinity groups, the Faculty Diversity & Inclusion Committee, Progress to Success: Diversity Peer Mentoring Program, and the wide range of courses that address issues of diversity, inclusion, and social justice.

Diversity, equity, and inclusion are at the core of Suffolk's mission, and have been since the inception of Suffolk Law in 1906. More than 100 years later, Suffolk Law is still dedicated to fostering a community that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive of all. We know that such dedication must be a continuous effort – it takes collaboration and participation from devoted community members to ensure our efforts continue to be realized. At our core, Suffolk Law seeks to provide a place for every student from every background to excel in the classroom, in the courtroom, around Boston, and beyond.

At Suffolk Law, creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive community is something we are actively building on a daily basis. It is something I look forward to doing together, with current and future community members, as we continue to strive for inclusive excellence.
