Academic Support
The Academic Support Program (ASP) is here to help you build the skills, strategies, and confidence you need to succeed—not just in law school, but throughout your legal career. Whether you're navigating your first semester or facing a new challenge along the way, ASP offers personalized guidance to help you make the most of your strengths and reach your full potential.
Our support is flexible and responsive to your needs. Throughout the year, ASP faculty offer:
- Individual one-on-one meetings to discuss study strategies, time management, legal analysis, outlining, and more
- Workshops on key academic skills like exam writing, multiple choice questions, and effective outlining
- Resources and materials designed specifically for law students at different stages of the 1L year and beyond
ASP is staffed by a team of full-time faculty members who bring years of experience in legal education and a deep commitment to student learning:
- Professor Sarah J. Schendel (Director)
- Professor Elizabeth Stillman
- Professor Phil Kaplan
- Professor Herb Ramy
- Visiting Assistant Professor of Academic Support Kelly Vieira
- Visiting Assistant Professor of Academic Support Martsyl Joseph
If you're feeling overwhelmed, unsure how to approach a particular class, or just want to sharpen your skills, we're here to help. Reach out and set up a meeting - we look forward to working with you!
