Malik's Suffolk Story
November 30, 2017: “Are you a lion or a gazelle? Many people want to eat, but very few are willing to hunt.” Coming to Suffolk University transformed me into a lion. Suffolk nourished this lion to chase many of his dreams and goals in becoming a versatile young professional. Through its supportive professors, alumni, and deans, this institution has taught me to “Be hungry for success, hungry to make my mark, hungry to make a change as well as being hungry to help others grow.”
Most importantly, never get comfortable being full, for that is when you stop hunting. I stand with Suffolk because Suffolk stands with me.
April 26, 2019: The biggest and most frequent question seniors get asked is, “What are you going to do after graduation?” When I reflect on my time at Suffolk, I recognize that the University was equipping me with every resource necessary to combat fear of entering the real world. My journey at Suffolk reminds me why it is necessary to trust the process.
Although this chapter is coming to an end, I am more confident and excited to start my next chapter because I have been training for this moment. Suffolk prepared me for success that I am destined for. I will never say goodbye to Suffolk because wherever I go, I am and will always be a proud Ram!
