I had no idea what I wanted to be when I grew up, but I knew I want to touch the lives of many. I applied to Suffolk University as a government major because of its location and the Law School’s reputation. I had no idea how many opportunities I would have as a Suffolk student.
Once here, I had the opportunity to intern at the Massachusetts State House. As my representative introduced me to his colleagues, I met countless Suffolk alumni. I met representatives, senators, the lieutenant governor, and Governor Charlie Baker, and I was repeatedly told, "We take care of Suffolk students and graduates." and "We call Suffolk 'State House University'." Through my internship, I improve the lives of constituents every day. There is nothing better than hearing a heartfelt “I can’t thank you enough” from a constituent on the phone. I wanted to touch the lives of many. Thanks to Suffolk, I have achieved my goal before graduation.
