The Suffolk University Board of Trustees has elected businessman and Sawyer Business School alumnus William A. Popeleski, Jr., to a 5-year-term as a charter trustee.
Popeleski is an entrepreneur and technology executive who has been serving as an alumni trustee representing the Business School. Through his management consulting firm, BP Global Solutions, Popeleski works with clients that are undergoing rapid change, helping them to optimize their people, processes, and technology. His clients include some of the country’s largest financial securities companies.
“Bill has brought exceptional business acumen and a creative and collaborative approach to his work with the board,” said Suffolk Board Chair Robert C. Lamb, Jr. “He is an innovative leader who understands the rapid changes that are taking place in higher education and embraces opportunities to take full advantage of those changes.“
Acting President Marisa J. Kelly said: “Bill has done a remarkable job helping Suffolk to remain well connected with its alumni organizations, and he has given generously of his time, talent and energy to strengthen Suffolk. I am delighted with the board’s action today.”
Popeleski earned an MBA from Suffolk University’s Sawyer Business School and has retained a relationship with the school for more than 20 years. He has served as president of the Business School’s alumni board as well as cochair of the New York alumni chapter, investing significant time in strengthening the school’s alumni network. He generously endows the William A. Popeleski, Jr., Scholarship Fund, which provides financial aid to Business School students.
