145 Students Make Athletics Director's Honor Roll

Academics the priority for Suffolk players, who excel in competition and in the classroom

The Suffolk University Athletics Department announces that 145 of the 206 student-athletes enrolled in full-time fall 2015 classes achieved a grade-point average of 3.0 or higher for the semester and were thus named to the Athletics Director’s Honor Roll.

Student-athletes from the 13 Rams varsity teams maintained an average GPA of 3.19 for the semester.

“With nearly 70 percent of our student-athletes achieving this recognition, it shows that academics do not take a back seat to athletics,” said Director of Athletics Cary McConnell. “Our student-athletes continue to exhibit the skills necessary to make them well-rounded individuals, which correlate into the department’s goal of bolstering a foundation for our student-athletes to be as successful as they can be in all areas of life. This accomplishment is a direct reflection of their commitment to excel and an achievement that our coaches, staff, and the University can be proud of.”
