Freshman Tennis Player Selected for All-Conference Team
Freshman Aidiana Sagyndykova of the Suffolk University women's tennis team was a Great Northeast Athletic Conference first-team All-Conference selection for the 2013 season.
Sagyndykova finished the year with a 5-3 record. She competed as the number one singles player in eight of the Rams' 14 matches. She recorded a 3-1 mark in GNAC contests on the year.
Sagyndykova also was a victor in three of seven doubles contests this season, bringing her victory total to eight for the year.
In addition to All-Conference honors, Sagyndykova was named to the GNAC All-Tournament team, as she helped Suffolk reach the semifinal round of this year's tournament.
She was a perfect 4-0 in singles and doubles action combined in the Rams' two playoffs contests and was the lone Rams player to earn multiple victories in the 6-3 season-ending setback against Johnson & Wales University on Saturday.
Suffolk finished the season with a 5-9 overall record. The Rams were the number three seed in the GNAC Tournament, they were 4-3 in conference matches on the year.
