Rams Honored for Athletic Feats and Sportsmanship

Student-athletes earn distinctions in basketball, hockey & golf

Outstanding performances and sportsmanship brought honors to Suffolk student-athletes again this week.

Thomas Duffy, a sophomore guard on the men’s basketball team, was named Division III HeroSports HERO of the Week. He opened the 2017-18 Rams season with three consecutive 20-plus point games.

During that stretch, Duffy averaged 23.7 points per game, while shooting 50 percent from the floor and 62.5 percent from three-point range. More on athletics website

Goalie Michael Levine of the men’s hockey squad was recognized as the Commonwealth Coast Conference’s Goaltender of the Week. It was the third time this season and the second time in as many weeks that he has received this honor.

Levine, a junior, was named the Most Valuable Player as Suffolk captured the Manchester PAL/Stovepipe Tournament title in New Hampshire. In the opening round game against UMass Dartmouth, Levine faced 50 shots and stopped a career-high 48 of them, the most saves by a Rams goalie in three years. More
