Two Suffolk freshmen were selected as basketball rookies of the week after a successful week for men’s and women’s teams.

Guard Jenni-Rose DiCecco was named New England Women’s Basketball Association Rookie of the Week, and forward Brendan Mulson of the men’s basketball team was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Corvias Rookie of the Week.

DiCecco was recognized after leading the Rams to a 3-0 week during which she averaged 14.7 points, 7 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and 3 steals per game. Before the latest honor, she had twice been selected Great Northeast Athletic Conference Corvias (GNAC) Rookie of the Week. More

Mulson was named the GNAC Corvias Rookie of the Week after a 15-point, 5-steal effort in the Rams’ 68-56 conference opening victory against St. Joseph’s College in Maine. More
