Suffolk University History Trail

A book cover

Exploring Suffolk University's history just got a bit easier with the creation of a new self-guided walking tour.

The Suffolk University History Trail starts at the University's Welcome Center and follows a path through historic Beacon Hill and Downtown Boston. The hour-long tour highlights milestones in the University's transformation from a one-room school in 1906 to a comprehensive global institution. Stops along the way include academic buildings, residence halls and historic sites. The tour brochure is available online and at several campus locations.

The tour was developed as a joint venture of Archer Fellows seminar students, the Moakley Archive and the Office of Public Affairs.

For more information about the history of the University, please consult the Suffolk University History page or the resources available at the Moakley Archive.
