The Examiner Brings Student Artists Fictional World to Life

Springboard 4, the 2012 student exhibit at the Adams Gallery, is a solo show by Keri Lemoine, who graduated in May.

An art exhibit
The Examiner will run July 12 through Aug. 12, 2012. A reception will be held from 3-5 p.m. Saturday, Aug 11.

Lemoine has created her own world in The Examiner, an installation and short work of fiction describing the imaginary city of Gossamer, where a variety of creatures are assigned tasks and evocative names. One resident, a human called Peter Pan, has begun his apprenticeship under an Examiner, and the master’s laboratory is reconstructed in the gallery.

The short story and more images from are available on Lemoine's Examiner blog.

The annual Springboard exhibits feature work by Fine Arts students from the New England School of Art & Design at Suffolk University.
