Golf Outing Offers Networking Opportunity

Last week, the Graduate Programs in Finance hosted its 14th Annual Golf Outing, a fun and informal networking opportunity for MSF students, alumni, and guests. Competitors enjoyed sunny, but thankfully much cooler weather after a New England-wide heat wave.

This year’s festivities were held at the Stow Acres Country Club in Massachusetts. The main event was a game dubbed the “Golf Ball Contest,” in which each group of 3 or 4 players were given one pink ribbon “hope” golf ball with the team number written on it. The goal of the game was to finish all 18 holes in possession of the ball. At the end of the round, the number on the ball was entered into a raffle. (All proceeds from the purchased golf balls went to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.)

Other competitions included the Women’s Long Drive Hole contest, the Closest-to-the Pin contest, and the Straightest Drive contest, to name a few. There was even a poker tournament held on the 13th Hole! For a full list of winners, please see below.

A cookout after the tournament gave the competitors a final opportunity to interact with other financial industry professionals.
