Rams athletes from the soccer, golf, and volleyball teams earned kudos from the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) on September 24 for their efforts over the preceding week.

Volleyball 

Sophomore Tori Brillaud was named the GNAC Weekly Honor Roll for volleyball after helping the Rams to a 3-1 overall week. She led the team offensively with 41 kills in the four games combined.

Brillaud led the Rams to a tri-match sweep on Saturday, as Suffolk defeated Anna Maria College, 3-0 in GNAC action and beat Castleton 3-0. Brillaud combined for 23 kills on the day, along with five service aces and 17 digs. She finished the week with 37 digs on the defensive side.

The volleyball team maintains a 7-6 overall record, while standing at 1-1 in GNAC play.

Soccer 

Freshman men's soccer player Nicholas Chamma was named GNAC Rookie of the Week following a 3-0 week for the Rams.

The Suffolk goalkeeper posted back-to-back shutouts early in the week, stopping 16 of the 17 shots he faced in 270 minutes of action. Chamma stopped all five shots he faced in a 1-0 victory over Lesley University on Monday and then made another five saves in a 3-0 Suffolk victory over Emmanuel College on Wednesday in GNAC action. He stopped six of the seven shots he faced on Saturday afternoon as the Rams topped Johnson & Wales University, 2-1, in league play.

Suffolk now holds a 6-3 overall record on the season, with Chamma holding a decision in each of those nine matches, while the Rams maintain a 3-2 record in GNAC play.

Golf 

Sophomore Luke Ferrari was named to the GNAC Weekly Honor Roll for men’s golf.

Ferrari won the individual medal for top shooter at the Saints Invitational on Wednesday, he finishing with a combined score of 71 (+1) on the 70-par William J. Devine Golf Course at Franklin Park,. He shot a 36 on the front nine and then recorded three birdies on the back nine, shooting one under on the last half to round a score of 35. Ferrari finished the day with five total birdies.

The Rams finished with the top team score, as their five players combined for a 305 score in the four-team field.
