All-Conference Honors for Womens Soccer Players

  

Women's Soccer players Gabrielle Balestrier and Meghan McHale have been selected to 2012 Great Northeast Athletic Conference All-Conference teams.

Gabrielle Balestrier
Balestrier was a second-team selection at forward, while McHale earned a third-team selection at forward. Both Rams standouts are juniors.

Balestrier finished the season with eight goals and eight assists for a total of 24 points. She started all 17 games for Suffolk and scored the game-winning goal in four of the Rams' six victories -- three of which were 1-0 Suffolk victories.

She had the second-highest number of game-winning goals in the GNAC and tied for second in assists, was seventh in points and tied for ninth in goals scored.

She was named 2010 GNAC Rookie of the Year and a 2010 first-team All-Conference selection. She was a second-team All-Conference selection as a sophomore.

In 50 career games, Balestrier has accumulated 74 points, scoring 25 goals and adding 24 assists with eight game-winning goals.

Meghan McHale
McHale started all 17 games for the Rams, netting three goals and an assist for a total of seven points.

This is the third time in McHale's career that she has been named an All-Conference selection by the GNAC.

In 51 career games, McHale has tallied 33 points on nine goals and 15 assists.
