Accounting and Taxation Programs Host Networking Event

Annual fall gathering brings together faculty, students, alumni, and guests

Sawyer Business School’s Graduate Programs in Accounting & Taxation hosted its annual Fall Networking Event last month at the Omni Parker House in Boston.

Each year, the event brings faculty, students, alumni, and guests together for an evening of mingling, cocktails, and hors d’oeuvres. This year celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Graduate Programs in Accounting & Taxation and the retirement of the Accounting Programs founder, Professor, and former Associate Dean Morris McInnes.

Academic Program Director and Professor Lew Shaw highlighted the progression of the programs and shared some of his experiences with Dean McInnes. Retired faculty member Laurie Pant also described some of her favorite memories of Dean McInnes from her early days as the second program director of the Graduate Accounting Programs. Finally, Sawyer Business School Dean William J. O’Neil, Jr. closed the evening by expressing his gratitude to Dean McInnes for his many years of service at Suffolk University.
