Colin Halpin became the 27th player in the Rams' 65-year men's basketball program history to reach the 1,000 career point mark.

He scored 25 points in a 77-68 Rams victory over the St. Joseph's College Monks on Saturday afternoon.

Halpin reached the milestone with 9:29 remaining in the second half of Suffolk's 2012-13 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) season opener.

He was fed down low by Chris Torres for a wide-open lay-in. Halpin had entered the contest needing 18 points for the marker.

By the end of the game, Halpin had scored 91 points over five games and stood at 1,007 career points, with a 14.4 points-per-game average in 70 games.
