Suffolk Men’s Basketball freshman center Matt Pepdjonovic started the second half of the season right where he left off in 2009; he was again named Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie of the Week on January 11.

Pepdjonovic, who earned the conference weekly honor for the fourth time this season, posted his sixth double-double in 10 games, scoring 17 points and adding 12 rebounds in the Rams’ 84-74 overtime victory over Lasell College Saturday.

Pepdjonovic has been one of the most dominating forces in the conference to start the season. The 6-foot-6-inch center is the leading rebounder in the conference, with a 12.3-rebounds-per-game average, and was seventh among all NCAA Division-III players as of Jan. 3. His 16.0 points per game average also ranks tenth among leading scorers, while his .561 shooting percentage is ranked fifth.
