Women's Basketball Scores Win on the Road

Freshman guard Lindsay Rogers hit one of two free throws with 5:06 remaining to snap a 45-all tie and pit the Suffolk women's basketball team ahead for good as the Rams defeated Wentworth, 56-50, in a non-conference contest played Thursday at Tansey Gymnasium

Sophomore forward Julianne Conrad paced four double-figure scorers for the Rams as she connected on 6 of 11 shots -- 4-for-5 from behind the arc -- for 16 points to go along with eight rebounds and two blocks. Freshman guard Jacqueline Vienneau added 13 points, six rebounds, and five assists, while sophomore forward Meghan Black had a double-double, with 12 points and 10 rebounds, in addition to blocking three shots. Rogers finished the game with 10 points and eight rebounds.

The win is the second straight for the Rams, who even their record at 6-6. Both teams return to conference action on Saturday. Suffolk hosts Emmanuel, while Wentworth is at Roger Williams.
