Dakar Campus Help Haiti Day
On the 28th of February, Suffolk students attended Help Haiti Day, a program that raises aid and funds for Haiti. Program sponsors are trying to build a long lasting friendship between the two countries for the better.
The program on Sunday included many fun activities. There was a fashion show, a choir performance and some initiation to Kompa, the Haitian dance. Throughout the day there was an art exhibition and a play area for children where face painting and games were offered.
Many Suffolk students participated different parts of the program with the president of the SGA, Therese Lattouf Mbaye, even modeling in the fashion show. Students and staff donated money to the cause and bought pins and other products as all proceeds go to Haiti.
