History Chair Notes Embarrassing Presidential Kin

President Barack Obama isn’t the only president in history to endure embarrassing relatives.

Professor Robert Allison, chair of the History Department, shared stories about the discomfiting family members of Presidents Lyndon B. Johnson, Franklin Pierce and Abraham Lincoln, in a Sept. 2 appearance on NECN’s “Joe@Batt” segment.

“Anyone can have an embarrassing relative so I think that’s something we can all empathize with,” said Allison.
