Paul Dullea, JD’97 -- The Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys (MATA) announced that Paul Dullea will be the new executive director of MATA.

Dullea, director of community affairs for the Boston Bar Association and director of foundation programs for the Boston Bar Foundation, has extensive experience in working within the legal community on a variety of levels.

“Paul Dullea is a great choice for the next MATA executive director, as he not only has the bar association experience but he understands and believes in MATA’s mission. We are very fortunate to have him at MATA”, said MATA President Chris A. Milne.

A graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, Dullea graduated from Suffolk Law School in 1997, where he was co-founder and co-president of the Suffolk Public Interest Law Group. He also served as a student attorney at Suffolk University’s Legal Aid Bureau and an Intake Volunteer at Shelter Legal Services Legal Clinic.

Prior to coming to the Boston Bar Association in 2000, Dullea was the Associate General Counsel for AFSCME Council 93 from 1998 to 1999 and served as counsel to the Massachusetts Labor Relations Commission from 1997 to 1998.

A longtime advocate for attorneys, Dullea brings a strong background and expertise in bar association management and nonprofit services to his new position as executive director of the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys. Medford Transcript, July 6, 2010
