University Welcomes New Students at Convocation

President David J. Sargent ushered in the academic year, welcoming students to the University at the New Student Academic Convocation held the day before classes began.

Students donned academic regalia and led a procession from Sargent Hall and to the Tremont Temple, followed by the faculty and senior administrators.

College of Arts and Sciences Dean Kenneth Greenberg and Sawyer Business School Dean William J. O’Neill, Jr., led the new students through the academic pledge, officially marking their entrance into Suffolk University.

The ceremony was preceded by a New Student BBQ.
