An Evening of Remembrance

The Jewish Law Students Association of Suffolk University Law School and the Alumni Association present "An Evening of Remembrance: Commemorating the Millions of Lives Lost in the Holocaust."

Stephan Ross, founder of the New England Holocaust Memorial will be the guest speaker.

Ross was imprisoned at age 9 by the Nazis, and his parents and six brothers and sisters were killed. Between 1940 and 1945, he survived 10 different concentration camps before being liberated from Dachau by American troops.

Ross never forgot the soldier who found him, emaciated and nearly dead, and gave him bread and a small American flag.

In 1948 he came to the United States and eventually made his home in Boston. For many years he harbored the dream of building a memorial to pay tribute to those who perished, to honor the liberators who perished, to honor the liberators who freed him, and to serve as a lesson to the living.

Ross is the father of two Suffolk Law School alumni, Julie, JD '97 and Michael JD '07.

The Evening of Remembrance will be held from 6 - 8:30 p.m.Wednesday, April 11, 2007, at Suffolk University Law School
1st Floor Function Room, 120 Tremont St., Boston.

RSVP by April 9 to Diane Schoenfeld, Director of Alumni Relations, 617-305-1904.
