Baseball Players Compete in Summer Collegiate Games
Three Suffolk varsity baseball players are competing in collegiate Summer leagues. Coach Cary McConnell has players in three leagues this summer, the Coastal Plains League in North Carolina, Great Lakes Collegiate League in Ohio and the New York Collegiate Baseball League.
Junior pitcher Steve Durant (Malden, MA) is competing for the Columbus All-Americans of the Great Lakes Collegiate Summer League for the second straight season. Durant was an all-star in 2006 for the All-Americans.
Junior outfielder Greg DiMarco (Newton, MA) is competing for the New Bern River Rats of the Coastal Plains League.
Sophomore pitcher Reid Jackson (Burlington, MA) is playing for the Bennington Bombers of the New York Collegiate Baseball League.
