Interactive Exhibit Features 14 Emerging Artists

The gallery at the New England School of Art & Design at Suffolk University presents STENCILS: Public Space and Intervention, an interactive event organized by guest curators Hiroko Kikuchi and Alice Vogler.

The artists

STENCILS features 14 of the area's best emerging artists specializing in interactive and performance based art: Dirk Adams, Beth Balliro, Michael Gardiner, Geoff Hargadon, Lazaro Montano, Lucas Murida, Liz Nofziger, Melina O'Grady & Niko, Vela Phelan, Paul Roax, Claudia Salamanca, Jonathan Santos, and Andi Sutton.

The show is designed to spark discussion about art and its purpose as a tool for social commentary. 

To get the full scope of the work presented, viewers are encouraged to interact with the work both in the gallery space and outside.

STENCILS includes painting, sound art, guided tours, scent-based works, shadow projections, live interactive performances and more.
