Celebration of Future Civic Leaders

Gov. Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino spoke at Suffolk University as 28 future public servants from the Greater Boston area completed training with the Initiative for Diversity in Civic Leadership.

The graduates successfully completed a 16-week training program at Suffolk University for current and aspiring political candidates, public administrators, civic leaders and policymakers.

The Initiative for Diversity in Civic Leadership class ranged in age from 22-60 years and represented 11 countries. They work in the business, non-profit organizations and government. One is a medical doctor, while another is a grassroots activist. All are committed to public service.
