Heritage Awards Honor Six for Service to University

This year’s Heritage Medallion ceremony will recognize the commitment of six significant members of the University community.

The event will take place on Founder’s Day, Wednesday, Sept. 19, in the C. Walsh Theatre.

The honorees are:

  • Clarence Cooper, professor, administrator, executive-in-residence, Sawyer Business School
  • George A. Frost, benefactor to University founder Gleason Archer and a longtime trustee (posthumous)
  • Frederick A. McDermott, Law School dean, 1956-1964 (posthumous)
  • Maria Miliora, professor of chemistry, College of Arts and Sciences
  • Daniel Perlman, president, 1980-1989 (posthumous)
  • Daniel Sankowsky, professor and chair of Management, Sawyer Business School
