Professor Richard Torrisi Appointed to Fulbright Review Board

Associate Professor of International Business, Richard Torrisi has been appointed to the Fulbright Review Committee for Central Europe. The appointment is a three-year position. Torrisi was named a Fulbright Scholar in 2006 at the Leon Kozminski Academy of Entrepreneurship and Management in Warsaw, Poland. The Kozminski Academy is one of the top business schools in Central and Eastern Europe.

The Fulbright Scholar Program was established in 1946 under legislation introduced by the late Senator J. William Fulbright of Arkansas. The Program's purpose is to build mutual understanding between people of the US and other countries. The Fulbright Program is sponsored by the US Department of State.

Torrisi was also recently recognized with a formal certificate of special commendation from the Polish-US Fulbright Commission in Warsaw for his outstanding contributions as a participant in the 2006-2007 Fulbright Program. He has been invited to return to Warsaw in November to present a seminar on international business to graduate students and managers.
