The visiting Rams (6-4, 2-0 Great Northeast) used an 11-4 run over the final 3:29 of the first half to take a 38-28 advantage at the break, and Suffolk extended that margin to 14 points (42-28) before the host Gators (3-8, 0-2 Great Northeast) went on a 16-4 run over a 7:21 stretch to close to within four (48-44) on a three-pointer by junior Angeline Capre (Dorchester, Mass.) with 11:55 to play. The Rams took control, however, by scoring eight straight points and 23 of the game’s next 24 points over an eight minute stretch in taking a 71-45 lead with 3:57 remaining, as Suffolk ended the game on a 29-5 run over the final 12 minutes to account for the final score.
