Suffolk players lauded for both skill and sportsmanship
Suffolk student-athletes completed the 2016 fall season in impressive style, earning Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) honors for their talented skills and good sportsmanship on the court and in the field.
- Senior Sydney Littlefield, a key member of the women’s volleyball team, was named to the GNAC all-sportsmanship team. She was recognized for her outstanding dedication and portrayal of good sportsmanship, fair play, and a positive attitude. Littlefield played a main role in Suffolk’s qualifying for post-season play—the Rams’ first appearance in the conference playoffs in three years. More
- Senior Shannon Simmons and juniors Jennifer Martin and Alexandra Nagri, all members of the women’s soccer team, earned All-GNAC honors for their individual play this past season. Martin was a first-team selection, while Nagri earned a spot on the second team. Simmons rounded out the all-conference trio as Suffolk’s representative on the all-sportsmanship team. More
- Six student-athletes from the Rams’ men’s soccer squad, which enjoyed its most successful season in seven years, received honors. Senior Alberto Bittan was named to the all-GNAC first team, senior Ben Daniels and sophomore Jordan Casey were named to the second squad, while freshmen Jarrett Davis, the GNAC Rookie of the Year, and Christian Restrepo were selected to the third team. Senior Alex Ypsilantis was named to the all-sportsmanship team. The six Rams named to the conference’s teams are the most in Suffolk history. More
