Rams Basketball Boasts Two Rookies of the Week

Conference honors Katelyn Rourke and Thomas Duffy

Suffolk freshman basketball players Katelyn Rourke and Thomas Duffy share something in common – each Rams student-athlete was named Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Corvias Rookie of the Week for their recent accomplishments on the basketball court.

During a three-game week, Rourke averaged 5.7 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. The talented forward turned in her best performance by scoring 12 points and grabbing six rebounds in the Rams’ 92-46 win at Wentworth.

Rourke is the second Suffolk women’s basketball player in as many weeks to capture league Rookie of the Week accolades, following teammate Alexis Hackett, who earned the honor a week ago. More
