Excellence in Sport and in Learning

Suffolk student-athletes have set a new record, as 176 Rams made the 2017 fall semester Athletics Director’s Honor Roll by earning grade-point averages of at least 3.0.

This is the largest number of student-athlete achievers to be listed since the Athletics Director's Honor Roll was inaugurated in spring 2013.

The 229 student-athletes from the University's 18 varsity teams who were enrolled full-time this fall representing combined for a 3.23 GPA, with 77 percent of these students earned a 3.0 or higher and nearly half achieving Dean's List status with a 3.5 GPA or higher.

"As much as we boast about successes on the field, court and ice, accomplishments inside the classroom continue to be a reflection on the student's commitment to build skills necessary to make them well-rounded individuals and succeed after their time in blue-and-gold," said Athletics Director Cary McConnell. “These achievements are what we could not be more proud of."
