Kristen Caporusso Named Conference Goaltender of the Week

Accolade comes on heels of 3-game, 92-save week.

Suffolk goalie Kristen Caporusso was named New England Hockey Conference Goaltender of the Week for the third time this season after backstopping the Rams to a 2-1 week.

Caporusso notched 92 saves, with a .969-save percentage during the three non-conference bouts. 

She opened the week with a 29-save effort in a 2-0 setback to Division II foe Franklin Pierce. The sophomore followed that with back-to-back 32-save performances in a weekend sweep at the University of New England, including a shutout performance on Friday, Jan. 11.

Overall this season Caporusso has put together a 1.63 goals-against-average and .933 save percentage, with 350 saves to her credit, to hold a 10-4-1 record in between the pipes for Suffolk. She has kept five opponents off the scoreboard as well.
