The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) has extended the Sawyer Business School’s accreditation for both its business and accounting programs.

AACSB accreditation is recognized worldwide as the highest standard of quality, with only 6% of the world’s leading business schools achieving accreditation and less than 2% achieving dual accreditation in both business and accounting. The accreditation process is a rigorous, multi-year endeavor that includes an in-depth assessment of internal activities, mentorship with an AACSB advisor, and a peer-reviewed evaluation focused on continuous improvement.

In its report, AACSB said that the Business School “stands out for its innovative learning initiatives, strong industry connections, and commitment to societal impact. The Winternship Program, AI curriculum integration, IMMERSE℠ framework, and strategic focus on the UN’s sustainable development goalshave positioned SBS as a leader in experiential and socially responsible business education. The school’s dedication to faculty excellence, student support, and business engagement further enhances its reputation and long‐term impact. These best practices not only strengthen student learning and career readiness but also ensure SBS remains at the forefront of business education innovation.”

The Sawyer Business School also holds accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME) for its healthcare administration program and from the Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration (NASPAA) for its public administration program, making it the only US business school to hold all three accreditations.

“This AACSB reaccreditation is a strong testament to the high quality of our education, scholarship, practice, and societal impact,” said Amy Zeng, dean of the Sawyer Business School. “We are continuing our endeavors in all areas in spite of the highly evolving landscape of business education.”

AACSB now has 1,055 accredited institutions in over 69 countries and territories and 197 institutions with AACSB accreditation for accounting programs. Achieving this milestone ensures greater access to high-quality business education for learners around the world and businesses seeking top talent.

“AACSB congratulates each institution on achieving AACSB accreditation,” said Stephanie Bryant, executive vice president and global chief accreditation officer at AACSB. “The commitment to earning accreditation is a true reflection of each school’s dedication—not only to its students, alumni network, and greater business community—but to society as a whole.”
