Suffolk University Black Alumni Network

The Suffolk University Black Alumni Network (SUBAN) celebrates and serves current and future Black alumni through events, mentoring, philanthropy, and volunteerism. Our goal is to continue to build this collaborative alumni network in support of the University’s strategic goals.

We are currently seeking new committee members to join with a September 2019 start date. Please submit your application by Friday, April 19, 2019.

The network supports the recruitment, retention, academic achievement and successful graduation of Black, African and Caribbean diaspora students.  The network also supports the career development and professional opportunities of students and alumni.

Membership includes graduates of all schools—the College of Arts & Sciences, the Sawyer Business School, and the Law School. The network includes the SUBAN Founders Group and the SUBAN Committee.

The SUBAN Committee is comprised of volunteers who work closely with the Office of Advancement to promote alumni engagement and giving. They serve as ambassadors for the University, they collaborate on planning events and special programs, and they help to identify new donors and funding opportunities. All SUBAN Committee members are required to make an annual gift to the University.
