The Beacon Society is Suffolk University’s newest giving level, created to honors the extraordinary generosity of faculty and staff, as well as alumni, friends, and loved ones who give in their honor or memory. Membership recognizes individuals whose cumulative contributions of $20,000 or more reflect a deep commitment to Suffolk’s mission and long term impact.
To date, more than 2,150 faculty and staff have supported the University—a growing community whose generosity has generated more than $9 million to advance scholarships, academic programs, and institutional priorities. The Beacon Society was inaugurated in March 2026 when Suffolk proudly welcomed more than 100 founding members whose philanthropy collectively established over 80 scholarships, lecture series, and other named funds created by or in honor or memory of faculty and staff. The Society also recognized more than 60 faculty and staff members, including some no longer with us, whose philanthropic leadership strengthened Suffolk through generous unrestricted giving. Together, Beacon Society members have created a powerful and lasting legacy—one that continues to illuminate opportunity and transform lives across the University.
